The Laura C. Redden collection contains an autobiography for Laura C. Redden (1839-1923). The autobiography was written by her under the pseudonym of Howard Glyndon and was edited by Judy Jaeger Jones. The original was published circa 1870, but a 1995 edition added an introduction and underwent a process of revision. Redden was born in Somerset County, Maryland. The map entitled "The Power of Place", details Redden's journeys around the United States. The map was created in 1995 as part of the Minnesota Women's History Month proceedings.
